How to connect Microsoft Entra ID
Connecting Microsoft Entra ID to WiseStamp takes five steps and a few minutes. You need Global Admin credentials for your Microsoft account.
In WiseStamp, open Integrations and click Connect on Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
Select I'm the Global Admin and click Connect. If you are not the Global Admin, select Send instructions to another person and WiseStamp emails the steps to them.
Click Authorize.
Sign in with the Global Admin account.
On the Permissions requested screen, click Accept.
Choose Sync all employees, or choose Sync specific to pick departments, then click Save & sync.
That is the whole setup. There is nothing to install on your servers, no changes to your directory, and nothing for your employees to do.
What happens after you connect
After you connect your directory, Microsoft Entra ID on the Integrations page is marked CONNECTED and your employees are imported with their details already filled in. Your directory syncs automatically every 24 hours.
New hires are added automatically, and people removed from your directory are removed from WiseStamp.
You can re-sync at any time from the Employees page, which also shows the time of your last sync.
What you are approving
The Microsoft consent screen lists two permissions before anything is granted:
Sign in and read user profile (User.Read) allows users to sign in to the app and allows WiseStamp to read the profile of the signed-in user.
Read all users' full profiles (User.Read.All) allows WiseStamp to read names, email addresses, job titles, and departments across your directory. This is what fills each employee's signature with their own details.
The connection is reversible from your Microsoft 365 admin center at any time.
Syncing only some departments
To sync only some departments, choose Sync specific in step 5 and select the departments you want.
