WiseStamp Outlook Add-In Installation
Once you have successfully integrated your account with O365, you can install the WiseStamp Outlook add-in to deploy your company email signature to your employee email platform. The Outlook add-in automatically adds the Teams Signature to the emails of employees with an Active status.
Once the add-in is installed, the signature is always added when employees compose new messages, send replies, and forward emails. This article presents different methods of installing the add-in and provides instructions for each method.
Installation requirements
WiseStamp Outlook add-in, which is supported for both Outlook Desktop and Outlook Web, is the recommended method for automatically adding the Teams Signature to your employee emails. Your WiseStamp account does not need to be integrated with Azure Active Directory to successfully use the add-in. However, before installing the add-in make sure to review the requirements.
Supported clients
The Outlook add-in is available for:
- Outlook 2019 with Microsoft 365 Apps for business subscription and up
- Outlook Mac ("new UI") v16.56 or later
- Outlook Windows ("old UI")
- Outlook Web - modern Outlook UI when connected to Exchange Online: Microsoft 365 subscription, Outlook.com
- An inbox that is not set as a shared inbox, IMAP/POP
For more information please refer to Microsoft docs on supported clients (only those supporting v1.10 or above).
Additional Windows requirements
- The WiseStamp add-in is available only to Outlook users with a Microsoft 365 subscription. Outlook must be installed with the license included in your subscription. Keep in mind that some Microsoft subscriptions do not include the Outlook thick client.
Outlook Desktop must be running with the following minimum versions:
- Current channel: v16.0.14026.20000
- Monthly channel: v16.0.14131.20000
To check the channel/version of your Outlook desktop, go to File > Office Account.
The current channel is displayed in the About Outlook section.
To view the Outlook version, click the About Outlook icon. The version details are displayed at the top of the popup.
!important! If your environment does not meet the installation requirements for the Outlook add-in, consider using the WiseStamp Desktop App. The WiseStamp app is compatible with both Windows and Mac, and can be installed on your employee computers to automatically feed the Teams Signature to Outlook or Mac Mail. As with the add-in, every change you make to the WiseStamp signature is immediately reflected in Outlook / Mac Mail.!/important!

The section below provides instructions for installing the add-in on a user-by-user basis. Keep the following guidelines in mind:
- The Outlook add-in sets the signature to New/Reply/Forward/Calendar emails.
- If the signature does not appear within 24 hours of deployment, restart Outlook Desktop and refresh Outlook Web.
- If the user has a personal signature, WiseStamp disables this signature and replace it with the Teams Signature.
- If a user has both the WiseStamp app for desktop and the Outlook add-in, the add-in overwrites the signature.
- The WiseStamp Outlook add-in can only read and write properties of the item that is being viewed or composed in Outlook. This is necessary for WiseStamp to insert the signature when an email is being composed.
