Images Tab
The Images tab in the Signature Editor provides a comprehensive set of features for adding images to your email signature. You can incorporate up to two images per signature, including personal headshots, company logos, or any other picture of choice. Supported image formats include .jpg, .png, .bmp for still images and .gif for animated pictures. You can also create an animation image using WiseStamp animation feature, in which two selected pictures alternate.
To access the Images tab, go to the Signatures page, click Edit from your signature preview, and then click Images. Here's a breakdown of its features and functionalities:
Upload photo or logo | Click to upload an image or animated file. WiseStamp supports .jpg, .png, and .bmp files for images and .gif files for animated pictures. WiseStamp for Teams users have the added option to select an attribute as the source of the photo. |
Default photo | When an employee attribute is selected, you may select to upload a default photo to be displayed in the event that an employee has no headshot uploaded. Only available with WiseStamp for Teams. |
Animate | WiseStamp's animation feature allows you to create a GIF image that alternates between two images. Typically, these images are a profile photo and a company logo, but you can use any two images of your choice. |
Image link | Specify a URL to direct recipients to a specific landing page when they click the image. |
Add another | Click to add a second image or animated file below the first one. |
Swap images | Click to swap the positions of the images. This option is only available when you have two images. |
Manage images | This option is displayed while previewing the signature for a specific employee. Click Manage images to display again the options to edit the images. Only available with WiseStamp for Teams. |
Embed images |
Enabling this feature ensures that the images and icons are embedded, so they are always displayed. If disabled, signatures in Outlook may appear without images, unless the email recipients download them. Note that embedded images can increase email size. This feature can be enabled from Connector management pages (Server-side for Microsoft, Server-side for Google, Outlook add-in). |
Image considerations | Recommendations:
Images sent on email signatures are not responsive on mobile devices. Background or overlapping images are not supported. |

Add a Profile Picture / Company Logo
To add images to your signature:
- Open the Images tab of the Signature Editor and click Upload Photo or Logo.
- Upload your image, either from a local file or from various online sources like Facebook, Instagram, or your webcam. WiseStamp for Teams users can also select attributes as the photo source. After selecting the image, a preview opens where you can adjust the image.
Using employee photos or company-level images
Teams users can select an attribute as the photo source, and may select one of the following options as the default:
- Company: Company logo (from a Company detail/attribute).
- Employee: The photo from the Employee fields/attributes. When you select this option, you are prompted to upload a default photo. The default image is displayed in the event that an employee has no image uploaded.
Add a second image
- To add a second image, click Add another and follow the instructions above.
- To change the order in which the images are displayed, click Swap images.
Create an animated image
WiseStamp's animation option allows you to create a GIF image that alternates between two images. Typically, these images are a profile photo and a company logo, but you can use any two images of your choice.
To create an animated image:
- Upload the first image as described above.
- Immediately below the first image, click Animate. A popup opens, prompting you to select a second image.
- Click + and then click Upload Photo or Logo to select the second image. If you upload a custom image, a preview opens where you can crop and adjust the image. For the best animation results, we recommend that you NOT change the default selection (1:1).
- Once both images are selected, a preview of the animation is displayed. You can test the animation with different headshots by selecting employees from the list above the preview.
- From below the preview, select a transition type. The preview displays the animated image with the selected transition.
- To add this image to the signature, click Apply.
