How can I remove my signature from a specific email I'm writing?
WiseStamp allows you to set a default signature to show with every email that you send. But, we understand that sometimes you just want to send a short email without the WiseStamp signature enabled.
In this article you will find instructions on how to remove your signature from the following mail programs:
Gmail
In Gmail there are 2 ways this can be done, based on how your signature was added.
Open a new compose email and you might see a small WiseStamp icon at the bottom of your email (you will see this icon if you have the WiseStamp extension for Chrome installed).
When clicked this will open a list of your signature options where you can also choose No Signature. This will remove the signature from the current email you're writing.
But I don't have that icon?!
If you don't see the WiseStamp icon in your emails, it means your signature was inserted with the API. Just click on the pen icon at the bottom of your email.
This will open a list of options where you can choose No Signature for that email you're writing.
Outlook
Removing a signature from Outlook can be easily done from the compose window. Open an email and click on Signatures.
You'll then see a list pop-out where you can select Edit signatures.
In the pop-out that appears you can then choose which signature shows automatically with your email address when you compose a new email, or you can select None. This will make sure no signatures show in your upcoming emails until you turn it back on again.
Mac Mail
Mac Mail also allows you to quickly remove an email signature from an email. Just compose a new email and select None from the dropdown on the top right of the email.
Happy stamping!
