Know your Mac Mail signature settings
Just like all mail programs, Mac Mail has dedicated signature settings to manage and maintain signatures for emails.
Let's take a look at the Mac Mail signature settings and everything you can do with your signature!
To access your Mac Mail signature settings open Mac Mail and then go to Mail>>Preferences.
A pop-up will appear where you can click on the Signatures tab.
Here is what it looks like:
Now let's break it down!
There are a few different parts to the Mac Mail signature settings.
The left side lists the different email addresses which have been added to Mac Mail. In this example, only 1 email address is used in Mac Mail, but if you have multiple emails connected they will all show here.
When you click on All Signatures you will see the list of all signature which are available across all of your email addresses.
When you click on a specific email address listed you'll be able to see which signatures are available to use for each specific email address.
You'll be able to choose if you want a specific email signature sending with that email address as seen below with the Choose signature option.
This will make sure that email email you compose with the selected email address will show the signature selected in the Choose Signature dropdown.
The middle column lists your available signatures.
Use the + button on the bottom to add a new signature.
To delete a signature just select one from the signature list and click the - button.
The right hand panel is the signature preview.
This is where you will paste your signature when clicking the + button to add a new signature, or see a preview of current signature to make edits.
Before adding a new signature you need to make sure the option on the bottom to Always match my default message font is not checked before you paste.
If this option is checked off when you paste your signature, no images or formatting will show.
You'll also see that images are not showing, and are replaced with text inside of boxes.
This is normal for the settings, and once you compose your email with the signature added, the images will show as normal.
That's it - you're now a master of your Mac Mail signature settings!
