How can I choose which fields will be synced from my directory into WiseStamp?
WiseStamp can sync employee fields from your O365 / Google Workspace directory. When the Sync feature is on, information from the directory (such as department, title, phone number, etc.) syncs to the relevant fields in WiseStamp. This will save you lots of time, as you'll be able to import most employee details with just one click of the Sync button.
You can choose which fields will be synced from your directory to WiseStamp, and which fields will override existing employee details. Just follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Activate Directory Sync
From the sidebar, click Domain Settings. Then, make sure that the Sync toggle button is enabled (blue).
Step 2: Select sync settings for each Employee field
Open the Employees tab. In the Sync column, choose one of the following settings for every field:
- Always: Data for the field is ALWAYS synced with WiseStamp. If you select this option, keep in mind that information that you or your employees upload manually will be overridden by the directory sync.
- New Only: Data for the field is synced for new employees only (i.e., employees who have been newly added to the directory). New Only is the best practice recommended setting.
- None: Data for the field is NEVER synced with WiseStamp. You (or your employees) will need to update this information manually.
