How do I edit the invite email?
WiseStamp's invite emails allow your employees to edit their personal details and export their signatures to various email platforms. For convenience, WiseStamp provides a predesigned template for the invite email. As an admin, you can change the invite email settings, get a preview of your invite email and even choose the email platforms to which your employees will be able to export their signatures. This article shows you how to work with the invite email settings.
Step 1: Open the Invite email settings
From the sidebar, select Domain Settings. Then, on the page that opens, click Invite email.
Step 2: Configure the email subject and sender
At the top of the page, review the email Subject and Sender, and change the settings if necessary. (By default, the Sender is the account's owner.)
Note: In order to successfully send invite emails, the Sender needs to be the name of an employee or an Admin of the account.
Step 3: Configure settings for the email body
Here, you can choose which instructions the email invite will contain. You can prevent confusion by sending your employees the specific instructions that you know they need.
The Email body settings are:
- Ask employee to review and edit their details: This allows employees to update Employee Fields that have employee editing permissions. To view a list of these fields, hover your mouse over the Info icon.
If you DON'T want to allow your employees to edit their personal details, make sure the checkbox is NOT selected. - Share manual installation instructions for: This setting lets you choose the email platforms to which your employees will be able to export their signatures. When you select options here, the invite email will contain a link to online instructions.
As you work on the Email body settings, look at the Email Preview section to see how your changes affect the email message. The Preview is exactly what your employees will see in the invite email. The following example shows what the message looks like when all options are selected:
In the next example, only some of the settings are selected. Notice that the sentence about the signature page is missing, and the installation instructions are more specific:
