What do I do when I get an Integration Failed error?
Several issues can arise during Google Workspace integration that can prevent the process from being successfully completed. When one of these issues occurs, integration stops and you will see an error message. This article describes the most common errors and how to proceed when they happen:
- WiseStamp App not installed
- Integration link invalid
- Integration not done by super admin
- Other errors
The WiseStamp App is not installed
The following popup appears when there are issues involving app installation:
IMPORTANT: App installation can occasionally take several minutes. If you click the Sync employees button too quickly after installing the app, you may see this popup. In this case, wait a minute or two and then click Sync employees again.
If you continue to get this Integration Failed error, go to Marketplace and check the app's installation status. If the app is installed, the page should look like this:
If the app is not installed, try installing it again.
Your link is invalid or expired
Integration links are valid for 24 hours only. If the link has expired or is otherwise invalid, you will see one of these popups:
Follow these steps to generate a new integration link from your WiseStamp account:
- Hover your mouse over the sidebar and select Domain Settings.
- In the Email Service section of the Domain tab, click Connect to Google Workspace.
- In the popup that opens, enter the email address of the super admin of your domain, e.g., admin@mydomain.com.
- Click Send invitation.
The super admin will then continue the integration process, following the instructions provided in the invitation email.
You are not the super admin of your domain
Only the super admin of the domain can set up Google Workspace integration with WiseStamp. If the person performing integration doesn't have super admin permissions, you will see the following popup:
When this happens you will need to generate a new integration link (as described in the preceding section), and make sure that the invitation email is sent to the super admin of your domain (usually the company IT, CTO or CEO).
