As a WiseStamp user, you can assign your signatures to a correlating Outlook email address. This article explains how to deploy your signature to Outlook on Windows and Mac, and describes how to work with signature settings in Outlook desktop.
Currently, WiseStamp signatures can be added to Outlook on desktop or laptop devices only, as the Outlook mail apps for iPhone and Android do not support HTML signatures.
Installing the WiseStamp Desktop App on Mac for Outlook Desktop (Not Apple Mail)
If you use the Outlook mail program application for Mac, you can install your WiseStamp signature by following the instructions on the Signatures page.
Our WiseStamp Desktop App is not available for the Legacy Outlook on Mac. To use our app, switch to the new Outlook version. Alternatively, use the copy/paste method to apply your signature.
1. Access and Prepare Your Signature
In the Signatures page, find the signature you would like to add to your Outlook.
Click Install.
Select Outlook, then For Mac.
Under Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.
2. Install the WiseStamp Desktop App
Install the WiseStamp Desktop App from the App Store.
Click View in Mac App Store → Install.
Enter your App Store credentials if prompted.
Open the WiseStamp Desktop App.
Enter your email address.
Check your inbox for the 4-digit One-Time Password (OTP).
Copy the code and paste it into WiseStamp to complete login.
3. Add Signature in Outlook
A preview of your signature appears in WiseStamp.
Select Use in Outlook.
Click Done.
Your signature is now installed.
4. Set the Signature as Default
Open Outlook and compose a new email.
From the Message tab, click Signature → Edit Signatures.
Confirm your new signature appears in the list.
Under Choose default signature:
Select your signature for New messages.
Select your signature for Replies/forwards.
Close the dialog box.
5. Verify Installation
Compose a new email.
Your signature should automatically appear at the bottom.

Installing the WiseStamp Desktop App on Mac for Outlook Desktop (Apple Mail)
If you use the Apple Mail application, you can install your WiseStamp signature by following the personalized instructions from your Signatures page. These instructions include a link to download the WiseStamp Desktop App.
After this is implemented, your signature is automatically fed to Apple Mail. Every change made to your signature is reflected in Apple Mail once you quit and reload the WiseStamp Desktop App.
We recommend using the Google Chrome browser for this process. Using any other browser may not format the signature correctly.
Our WiseStamp Desktop App is not available for the Legacy Outlook on Mac. To use our app, switch to the new Outlook version. Alternatively, use server-side integration or the copy/paste method to apply your signature.
1. Access and Prepare Your Signature
In the Signatures page, find the signature you would like to add to your Apple Mail and click Install.
Select Apple Mail for Mac.
Under Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.
2. Set Up the Signature Placeholder in Apple Mail
Open the Mail app.
Access your signature settings:
a. Go to Mail and select Settings / Preferences.
b. Go to the Signatures tab.Create the placeholder:
a. Click + to create a new signature.
b. Enter the signature name Teams Signature and press Enter.
IMPORTANT: The name is case-sensitive and must be copied exactly as written.Assign and set defaults:
a. Drag the Teams Signature name to the email account you want to use in the left panel.
b. Set Teams Signature as the default signature for New Messages and Replies/Forwards.Close the Mail app:
a. Go to Mail and select Quit Mail.
3. Disable iCloud Syncing for Mail
Open System Settings.
Navigate to iCloud Drive settings:
a. Click your name (Apple ID) in the sidebar.
b. Click iCloud in the sidebar.
c. Select See All under iCloud Drive.Toggle off Mail syncing:
a. Go to Apps Syncing to iCloud Drive.
b. Locate Mail in the list and toggle it off.
c. Click Done to save your changes.
4. Install and Log In to WiseStamp App
Install the WiseStamp Desktop App from the App Store.
Log in with your credentials:
a. Open the app and enter your email address.
b. Check your email for a 4-digit OTP code.
c. Copy the code and paste it into the WiseStamp app.Connect to Mac Mail:
a. Click Use in Mac Mail (a signature preview should appear).
b. When the Signatures folder opens, click Open.
c. Click the green Refresh icon to save your settings.
d. Click Done.
5. Future Updates
Update your signature when changes are made:
a. If you make changes to your WiseStamp signature in the future, repeat the Quit Mail and Refresh steps.
Find the Signatures folder on your Mac
If the Signatures folder does not open automatically during the WiseStamp Desktop App installation, perform the following steps to find the folder’s location
If your Signatures folder does not appear after selecting Use in Mac Mail from the WiseStamp Desktop App, click Cancel on the screen that opens.
Open the Finder folder.
On the left sidebar, go to the Locations section and click Macintosh HD, if displayed.
If Macintosh HD is not displayed, perform the following:
On the menu bar at the top of the screen, go to Finder and select Settings.
In the Settings window, click the Sidebar tab.
In the Locations section, select Hard disks.
Return to the Finder window and click Macintosh HD on the left sidebar.
On the right panel, double-click Users and then double-click your username.
Verify that the Library folder is displayed in the folder of your username.
If Library is not displayed, perform the following:
On the menu bar at the top of the screen, go to View and select Show View Options.
In the window that opens, go to the bottom and select Show Library Folder.
Close the window, and return to the Finder window.
Verify that the Library folder is now displayed.
Close the Finder window and return to the WiseStamp Desktop App.
Select Use in Mac Mail. If it is already selected, clear it and then select it again.
In the pop-up, open the Signatures folder as follows:
Click Macintosh HD in the navigation panel.
Click Users in the right panel and then click your username.
Click the folder that starts with the letter V followed by a number, like V8 or V10.
Click MailData and then click Signatures.
Click Open. The WiseStamp Desktop App should indicate that you are now connected to Mac Mail.
Click the green refresh button in the WiseStamp Desktop App on the right side of the window.
Click Done, and your signature is now installed.
Open your email and compose a new message. Your signature is displayed at the bottom!
Installing the WiseStamp Desktop App on Windows
If you use the Outlook mail program application for Windows, you can install their WiseStamp signature by following the instructions on the Signatures page.
Our Desktop app is not available for New Outlook on Windows. Alternatively, use the Outlook Add-In or the copy/paste method to apply your signature.
1. Access and Prepare Your Signature
In the Signatures page, find the signature you would like to add to your email.
Click Install.
Select Outlook, then choose For Windows.
Under Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.
2. Install the WiseStamp Desktop App
Download the WiseStamp Desktop App.
Double-click the downloaded file (WiseStampInstaller) to start the installation wizard.
If a Microsoft Defender warning appears, click More info, then Run anyway.
Complete the installation. On the final screen, ensure Launch WiseStamp is selected, then click Close.
Open the WiseStamp Desktop App and enter your email address.
Check your inbox for the 4-digit OTP code, copy it, and paste it into WiseStamp to complete login.
3. Add Signature in Outlook
A preview of your signature appears in the WiseStamp app.
Select Use in Outlook.
Click Done.
Your signature is now installed.
4. Set the Signature as Default
Open Outlook and compose a new email.
From the Message tab, click Signature → Signatures.
In the Choose default signature section:
Select your signature for New messages.
Select your signature for Replies/forwards.
Click Save and close the dialog box.
5. Verify Installation
Compose a new email.
Your signature will automatically appear in new, reply, and forwarded messages.
After updating your signature in WiseStamp, always make sure to update it in Outlook by opening the WiseStamp Desktop App and clicking the green Refresh button on the right side of the window.
Uninstall the WiseStamp Desktop App
If you no longer need the WiseStamp Desktop App, you can remove it quickly and easily.
Uninstall on Mac
Follow these steps to remove the app:
Close the WiseStamp Desktop App.
Open the Finder folder.
On the left sidebar, click Applications and locate the icon for the WiseStamp Desktop App.
Right-click the icon and select Move to Trash.
Uninstall on Windows
Follow these steps to remove the app:
Right-click on the Windows Start icon and select Apps and Features.
From the Apps & features list, select the WiseStamp Desktop App. Then, click Uninstall.
Troubleshooting
The following are some of the issues that may occur:
Problem | Resolution |
Images are not displayed in replies (Outlook Desktop for Mac) | Some mail programs, like Outlook, do not download images by default. Instead, a notification appears for you to download images manually.

Outlook Desktop App for Mac keeps crashing. | Make sure your macOS is fully up to date. Outdated system versions can cause the WiseStamp Desktop App to crash. After the update, restart your computer and try the app again.
