Sharing and managing your surveys helps you collect more responses and get the most value out of your feedback. In this article, we’ll show you the different options available for sharing and managing surveys, as well as tools that help you track and use the results.

How to Manage Surveys

On the Surveys page, click the three-dot icon of the survey you want to manage.

  • Preview Survey – Open the survey in a browser to test it. You’ll be able to see how it looks on different devices–desktop, tablet, and phone. Keep in mind that any responses submitted in preview mode won’t be counted as real results.

  • Email Embed – Share your survey directly within your CRM emails. To do this, click Copy and paste the HTML snippet into your email template in platforms like Zendesk, Customer.io, or Vitally. The system automatically fills in the customer’s information so they don’t have to type it themselves.

  • Signature Embed – Share your survey with your WiseStamp signature so anyone who sees your email signature will receive your survey as well. To do this, click Copy and paste the HTML snippet into your Signature Editor. The survey will automatically track which employee sent it.

  • Get Link – Copy the survey link to share it anywhere, like in an email, chat, or on your website.

  • Copy Survey – Copy the full survey (including design elements) and paste into an email.

  • Export Responses – Download a CSV report that includes:

    • Timestamp – Time and date someone opened and completed the survey.

    • Primary Question Response – Score given.

    • Follow-up Response – Text from optional open-ended question.

    • Source – Where someone clicked your survey from, such as email, email signature, a direct link you shared, or from a platform (like Zendesk or Customer.io).

    • Customer Email – Collected if turned on in the optional settings.

    • Additional Metadata – Extra details such as company name, account manager name, customer ID, respondent name, or ticket ID if available.

!note! Once your survey is live, you can track performance and gather insights from your survey results page. See Understanding Your Survey Dashboard for more details. !/note!

  • Edit Survey – Change the survey name, primary question, follow-up question, settings at any time. You can also add new follow-up questions or delete existing ones.

!note! To delete a question, simply hover over the question and click the trash icon. However, you must always have at least one follow-up question in your survey !/note!

  • Delete Survey – Deactivates the survey.

Troubleshooting

How can I share my survey?

You can share your survey by embedding it in an email, adding it to your email signature, sharing a direct link, or copying the link from the three-dot menu on the Surveys page.

How do I make my survey link into a short link?

You can do this by clicking Edit Survey and selecting Custom Link. See Creating Surveys for more details.

How do I add a survey to my WiseStamp signature?

  1. Copy the HTML snippet of the survey (use the three-dot icon to select Signature Embed).

  2. Go to the Signatures page.

  3. Click the Signature you'd like to add the survey to.

  4. Once the Signature Editor opens, click Apps.

  5. Click the HTML box.

  6. Paste the HTML snippet into the textbox.

  7. Click Add.
