Managing your links effectively helps ensure your links stay up-to-date, accurate, and easy to track. In this article, we’ll show you how to view and manage your links, including editing link details, updating destinations, generating QR codes, tracking activity, and deleting links safely.
How to Manage Links
On the Links page, click the three-dot icon of the link you want to manage. Your options include:
Edit Link – Edit at any time. Change the destination URL, link name, back-half, domain, or link alerts.
!note!Changing the domain or back-half creates a new link. Any previous copies of the original link will no longer work.!/note!
!note!Changing a link’s destination URL lets you reuse a short link or QR code you’ve already shared, instead of creating a new one and updating it everywhere.!/note!
Change owner – As admin, you can assign other account users or an employee as the link owner.
Generate QR – Download as:
JPG / PNG (simple usage)
SVG (design-friendly)
Export Report – Download a CSV report that includes:
Timestamp – Exact time and date someone clicked or scanned.
Source – Link or QR code
Region
Device type
Referrer – Where someone clicked your link from, such as a website, email, or social media post. If this isn’t available, this field may be blank.
Get link – Copy your short link.
Delete Link – When a link is deleted, it stops working immediately. Do not delete a link that is still in use by customers, as it will immediately stop access to its destination. The back-half of the link remains locked for 30 days, and after that period, it can be reused for a new link.
Troubleshooting
Why can’t I create my link?
There are a few reasons you might not be able to create a new link:
Invalid destination URL: This can happen if:
The destination URL is broken.
The combination of back-half + domain is not unique (someone else is using it).
You included special characters in the back-half that aren’t allowed.
The back-half + domain you’re trying to use was recently deleted.
Back-half recently used or deleted: If you recently deleted a short link, the back-half cannot be reused for 30 days. This ensures anyone who still has the old link isn’t redirected unexpectedly. To fix this, you can slightly change the back-half (for example, add a number or short word) to create the link immediately.
