Outlook permissions explained
When integrating Microsoft with WiseStamp, you may be asked to grant access permissions. These permissions are crucial for enabling WiseStamp to seamlessly integrate with your email system and provide its full range of features. By allowing these permissions, WiseStamp can help you automatically create, update, and manage your email signatures, ensuring they always look professional and consistent across all your communications. Understanding and granting these permissions ensures that you can take full advantage of what WiseStamp has to offer, enhancing your email experience with ease.
Outlook Add-in - ReadWriteItem permission
The ReadWriteItem permission in an Outlook add-in allows it to read and write information in the current email or calendar event.
Based on Microsoft information, add-ins with this permission may perform the following:
- Read the email details.
- Modify the content of the email.
- Add or remove attachments.
- Save any changes made to the item.
Why is it useful?
This permission is useful for add-ins that need to enhance productivity by automating tasks, adding custom content, or integrating with other services directly within Outlook.
Why do we need it?
We need these permissions to insert your signature at the end of your email.
!note! At WiseStamp we respect your privacy and don't use all options provided by Microsoft. It's important to clarify that we do not read or save your email content. !/note!
