WiseStamp Outlook Desktop App for Legacy Free and Legacy Pro

As a WiseStamp user, you can assign your signatures to a correlating Outlook email address. This article explains how to deploy your signature to Outlook on Windows and Mac, and describes how to work with signature settings in Outlook desktop.

Currently, WiseStamp signatures can be added to Outlook on desktop or laptop devices only, as the Outlook mail apps for iPhone and Android do not support HTML signatures.


Deploying your signature to Outlook on Mac

You can deploy your WiseStamp signature by following the personalized instructions on webapp.wisestamp.com. The full installation workflow is presented in the procedure below.

Using another browser will not render your signature correctly. Also, our Desktop app is not available for the Legacy Outlook on Mac. To use our Desktop app, switch to the new Outlook version. Alternatively, use server-side integration or the copy/paste method to apply your signature.

  1. Click the Signatures tab.

  2. On the Signatures page, click Install for the relevant signature.

  3. Click Outlook and then select For Mac.

  4. Where you see Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.

  5. Copy your access token.

  6. Follow the instructions to download the WiseStamp Desktop App:Install the

    1. Click GET and then click INSTALL.

    2. Enter your credentials and click Get.

  7. After installing the app, paste the access token and click Sign in.

  8. A preview of your signature is displayed in the WiseStamp app, and select Use in Outlook.

  9. Click Done.

  10. To assign your new signature to all relevant email types (new, reply, or forward emails):

    1. Open Outlook and compose a new email.

    2. Go to the Messages tab above the new email, click Signature, and then select Edit Signatures.

    3. You should now see your new signature.

    4. Go to the Choose default signature section. From the New messages and Replies/forwards dropdown boxes, select the signature you want for each email type.

    5. Close the dialog box.

    6. Your assigned signatures will appear automatically in the appropriate emails.


After updating your signature in WiseStamp, make sure to update it in Outlook by opening the WiseStamp Desktop App and clicking the green Refresh button on the right side of the window.


Deploying your signature to Outlook on Windows

  1. Click the Signatures tab.

  2. On the Signatures page, click Install for the relevant signature.

  3. Click Install for the relevant signature.

  4. Click Outlook and then select For Windows.

  5. Where you see Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.

  6. Copy the access token.

  7. Follow the instructions to download the WiseStamp Desktop App:

    1. Double-click the downloaded file (WiseStampInstaller) to open the installation wizard. If a Microsoft Defender window pops up, click More info and then click Run anyway.

    2. Install the app using the installation wizard. On the last screen, verify that Launch WiseStamp is selected. Then click Close to quit the wizard.

  8. After installing the app, paste the access token and click Sign in.

  9. A preview of your signature is displayed in the WiseStamp app, and select Use in Outlook.

  10. Click Done.

  11. To assign your new signature to all relevant email types (new, reply, or forward emails):

    1. Open Outlook and compose a new email.

    2. Go to the Messages tab, click Signature, and then select Signatures.

    3. Go to the Choose default signature section. From the New messages and Replies/forwards dropdown boxes, select the signature you want for each email type.

    4. Click Save and close the dialog box.

    5. Your assigned signatures will appear automatically in the appropriate emails.


Uninstall the WiseStamp Desktop app

If you no longer need the WiseStamp Desktop app, you can remove it quickly and easily.

Uninstall on Mac

Follow these steps to remove the app:

  1. Close the WiseStamp Desktop app.

  2. Open the Finder folder.

  3. On the left sidebar, click Applications and locate the icon for the WiseStamp app.

  4. Right-click the icon and select Move to Trash.

Uninstall on Windows

Follow these steps to remove the app:

  1. Right-click on the Windows Start icon and select Apps and Features.

  2. From the Apps & features list, select the WiseStamp app. Then, click Uninstall.


Troubleshooting

The following are some of the issues that may occur:

No image is displayed in Outlook (Web and Desktop)

If you see images in the WiseStamp signature preview, but not in your emails, try the following solutions:

  • Disable external content blocking:
    Windows: Go to File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Automatic Download. Verify that Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail messages or RSS items is not selected.
    Mac: Go to Outlook > Preferences > Reading > Download external images. From the dropdown, select Automatically.

  • Check message format:
    Go to File > Options > Mail. In the Compose messages section, verify that Compose messages in this format is set to HTML.
