As a WiseStamp user, you can assign your signatures to a correlating Outlook email address. This article explains how to deploy your signature to Outlook on Windows and Mac, and describes how to work with signature settings in Outlook desktop.

Currently, WiseStamp signatures can be added to Outlook on desktop or laptop devices only, as the Outlook mail apps for iPhone and Android do not support HTML signatures.

Installing the WiseStamp Desktop App on Mac for Outlook Desktop (Not Apple Mail)

If you use the Outlook mail program application for Mac, you can install your WiseStamp signature by following the instructions on the Signatures page.

Our WiseStamp Desktop App is not available for the Legacy Outlook on Mac. To use our app, switch to the new Outlook version. Alternatively, use the copy/paste method to apply your signature.

1. Access and Prepare Your Signature

  1. In the Signatures page, find the signature you would like to add to your Outlook.

  2. Click Install.

  3. Select Outlook, then For Mac.

  4. Under Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.

2. Install the WiseStamp Desktop App

  1. Install the WiseStamp Desktop App from the App Store.

    • Click View in Mac App StoreInstall.

    • Enter your App Store credentials if prompted.

  2. Open the WiseStamp Desktop App.

  3. Enter your email address.

  4. Check your inbox for the 4-digit One-Time Password (OTP).

  5. Copy the code and paste it into WiseStamp to complete login.

3. Add Signature in Outlook

  1. A preview of your signature appears in WiseStamp.

  2. Select Use in Outlook.

  3. Click Done.

  4. Your signature is now installed.

4. Set the Signature as Default

  1. Open Outlook and compose a new email.

  2. From the Message tab, click SignatureEdit Signatures.

  3. Confirm your new signature appears in the list.

  4. Under Choose default signature:

    • Select your signature for New messages.

    • Select your signature for Replies/forwards.

  5. Close the dialog box.

5. Verify Installation

  • Compose a new email.

  • Your signature should automatically appear at the bottom.

Installing the WiseStamp Desktop App on Windows

If you use the Outlook mail program application for Windows, you can install their WiseStamp signature by following the instructions on the Signatures page.

Our Desktop app is not available for New Outlook on Windows. Alternatively, use the Outlook Add-In or the copy/paste method to apply your signature.

1. Access and Prepare Your Signature

  1. In the Signatures page, find the signature you would like to add to your email.

  2. Click Install.

  3. Select Outlook, then choose For Windows.

  4. Under Install your signature with, select WiseStamp Desktop App.

2. Install the WiseStamp Desktop App

  1. Download the WiseStamp Desktop App.

  2. Double-click the downloaded file (WiseStampInstaller) to start the installation wizard.

    • If a Microsoft Defender warning appears, click More info, then Run anyway.

  3. Complete the installation. On the final screen, ensure Launch WiseStamp is selected, then click Close.

  4. Open the WiseStamp Desktop App and enter your email address.

  5. Check your inbox for the 4-digit OTP code, copy it, and paste it into WiseStamp to complete login.

3. Add Signature in Outlook

  1. A preview of your signature appears in the WiseStamp app.

  2. Select Use in Outlook.

  3. Click Done.

  4. Your signature is now installed.

4. Set the Signature as Default

  1. Open Outlook and compose a new email.

  2. From the Message tab, click SignatureSignatures.

  3. In the Choose default signature section:

    • Select your signature for New messages.

    • Select your signature for Replies/forwards.

  4. Click Save and close the dialog box.

5. Verify Installation

  • Compose a new email.

  • Your signature will automatically appear in new, reply, and forwarded messages.

After updating your signature in WiseStamp, always make sure to update it in Outlook by opening the WiseStamp Desktop App and clicking the green Refresh button on the right side of the window.


Uninstall the WiseStamp Desktop App

If you no longer need the WiseStamp Desktop App, you can remove it quickly and easily.

Uninstall on Mac

Follow these steps to remove the app:

  1. Close the WiseStamp Desktop App.

  2. Open the Finder folder.

  3. On the left sidebar, click Applications and locate the icon for the WiseStamp Desktop App.

  4. Right-click the icon and select Move to Trash.

Uninstall on Windows

Follow these steps to remove the app:

  1. Right-click on the Windows Start icon and select Apps and Features.

  2. From the Apps & features list, select the WiseStamp Desktop App. Then, click Uninstall.


Troubleshooting

The following are some of the issues that may occur:

Images are not displayed in replies (Outlook Desktop for Mac)

Some mail programs, like Outlook, do not download images by default. Instead, a notification appears for you to download images manually.


To automatically download images for received emails, change the default preferences as follows:

  1. In Outlook, go to File > Options > Trust Center.

  2. Click Trust Center Settings.

  3. Select the Automatic Download settings. verify that Don't Download Pictures Automatically is not selected.

Outlook Desktop App for Mac keeps crashing.

Make sure your macOS is fully up to date. Outdated system versions can cause the WiseStamp Desktop App to crash.

After the update, restart your computer and try the app again.

If this doesn't work, try this:

  1. Open Terminal on your Mac.

  2. Paste the following command and press Enter:

    defaults delete-all com.vcita.WiseStamp

    This will remove the current app settings, which may have become corrupted.

  3. Try opening the WiseStamp app again.

This should allow the app to launch properly.
