Double WiseStamp Signatures Displayed
WiseStamp offers two ways to add signatures to your email: server-side and client-side. It is important to understand how each of these methods works to avoid displaying duplicate signatures in your emails.
Server-side signatures are applied after the message is sent. WiseStamp's cloud service receives the message and then deploys the signature, which is visible to all recipients regardless of their device or platform. This method is particularly useful for those who access their emails on multiple devices or use a variety of email clients.
Client-side signatures, on the other hand, are visible to the user while composing the message. WiseStamp synchronizes the signature to the user's computer for use in the email client (such as Outlook, Mac Mail, and Gmail). The signature is applied according to the method installed. For example, if the user installed the Outlook add-in, the signature is applied on both Outlook web and desktop. If the user installed the Google integration, the signature is applied on Gmail web and iOS app.
In addition, WiseStamp offers a hybrid solution that combines server-side and client-side signatures. This method recognizes WiseStamp client-side signatures and avoids deploying an additional signature, which prevents displaying duplicate signatures. This solution is available for automatic installations, such as:
- WiseStamp Desktop App
- Outlook Add-in installation and FAQ
- Integrate your Google Workspace (GSuite) domain with WiseStamp
If you see two signatures at the bottom of your email, it's likely that you have a manually installed signature (copy/paste). To avoid displaying duplicate signatures, simply remove or reinstall your copy/paste signature. It's important to note that WiseStamp cannot recognize manually installed signatures, so they are not automatically removed or overwritten.
