Deploy Your Signature with Google Connect

Deploy your WiseStamp signature with Google Connect. Link WiseStamp to Gmail for automatic signature updates across web, desktop, and mobile, no extension needed.

Google Connect links WiseStamp directly to your Gmail settings so your signature is inserted for you and stays up to date automatically. This article covers how to open your Employee Hub, connect your Google account, and confirm the signature is working.

Before you start: open your Employee Hub

You install your signature from your Employee Hub. Your Employee Hub is where you view the signatures assigned to you and open installation instructions. You can open it yourself at any time — you do not need to wait for an email from your admin.

If you are an employee

To open your Employee Hub:

  1. Enter your work email address and click Sign in.

  2. A 4-digit code is emailed to you. It expires quickly, so retrieve it promptly.

  3. Enter the 4-digit code to open your Employee Hub.

Your admin must have added you to the company's WiseStamp account as an employee and assigned you at least one signature. The Employee Hub only shows assigned signatures, so if it opens empty, ask your admin to assign you a signature.

Signature links are optional. An admin can also email you a signature link that opens the Employee Hub directly, from Employees > the three-dot menu next to your name > Send signature link. The link is a shortcut and a way to let you know your signature is ready. It is not required, because you can always sign in at hub.wisestamp.com yourself.

If you are an admin

If you are a WiseStamp webapp, you do not need to use hub.wisestamp.com to install your signature. Go to the Signatures page in the WiseStamp webapp (webapp.wisestamp.com/login). Then, click Install for me on one of the signatures.

Connect with Google Connect

Google Connect allows us to insert a signature into your Gmail signature settings by connecting WiseStamp directly to your Google settings. Google Connect is available on all plans, including Legacy Free. Unlike the copy/paste method of adding a signature to Gmail, using Google Connect does not require any manual updates to your Gmail account. Furthermore, every time you send an email, Google checks WiseStamp for the latest signature, so any changes you make are automatically deployed into your Gmail signature settings.

Keep in mind that Google Connect can handle one email signature paired with one Gmail address. If you need to create multiple signatures, or need to use the same signature with multiple email addresses, see WiseStamp Chrome Extension.

Set up Google Connect

To start using WiseStamp with Google Connect, follow these steps. If you have not opened your Employee Hub yet, see Before you start: open your Employee Hub above.

  1. In your Employee Hub, hub.wisestamp.com, click Install for the relevant signature. (If you are a WiseStamp admin, use the WiseStamp webapp, webapp.wisestamp.com/login. Go to the Signatures page, and click Install for me on the relevant signature).

  2. In the Installation page, select Gmail.

  3. Where you see Install your signature with, select Google Connect.

  4. Click the Sign in with Google link.

  5. In the pop-up, choose the Google account you want to connect.

  6. Review the permissions and click Continue to grant access.

  7. Wait a moment for the connection to complete. Refresh your Gmail page.

  8. Click Compose to open a new email and see your WiseStamp signature.

  9. From now on, every time you compose a new message, you will see your new WiseStamp signature at the bottom of your email.

Troubleshooting

Problem

Resolution

I went to hub.wisestamp.com but it will not let me sign in

Sign-in fails when your email address is not on your company's WiseStamp account yet. Check that you are entering your work email address exactly as your company has it, and look in your spam or junk folder for the 4-digit code. If it still does not work, ask your WiseStamp admin to confirm you have been added to the account and assigned a signature.

I never received a signature link email

You do not need a signature link email to open your Employee Hub. Go to hub.wisestamp.com, enter your work email address, and enter the 4-digit code that is emailed to you. If the sign-in does not work, ask your WiseStamp admin to confirm that you have been added to the company's WiseStamp account and that a signature is assigned to you.

I need more than one signature, or the same signature on several addresses

Google Connect pairs one signature with one Gmail address. For multiple signatures or multiple addresses, use the WiseStamp Chrome Extension instead.
