Signature Deployment Methods
WiseStamp offers two main methods to add signatures to your email platform: server-side and client-side. In addition, WiseStamp Hybrid mode provides a combination of client-side and server-side solutions.
Client-side deployment
Client-side signatures are deployed during the process of the composition of a new email message. Using this method, WiseStamp synchronizes the signature to the user's browser or desktop email app, like Gmail, Outlook and MacMail.
The signature is applied according to the method installed on the client. For example, if the user installed the Outlook add-in, the signature is applied on both Outlook web and desktop. If the user installed the Google integration, the signature is applied on Gmail web and iOS app.

Server-side deployment
!note!WiseStamp Server-side solution is only available for WiseStamp for Teams accounts. !/note!
Unlike the client-side solution, the server-side signatures are applied after the message has been sent. WiseStamp cloud service applies the signature, and is visible to all recipients regardless of the device or platform the email sender uses. This method is particularly useful for those who access email on multiple devices or who use a variety of email clients.
For integration instructions, recommendations, best practices, and troubleshooting guidelines, see the following articles:
The server-side solution applies your WiseStamp signatures to email messages sent from any device and any mail client. You can therefore ensure consistency and professionalism across all outgoing emails, regardless of which email platform is used to compose them. Furthermore, the server-side solution does not require any additional apps, add-ons, or other changes to your WiseStamp environment. (Some configuration of your email server is necessary.)
Another advantage of the server-side solution is the certainty that the latest changes to your signatures are displayed, as the WiseStamp server-side host checks to ensure that the most recent signatures are added to outgoing messages.
Server-side security
WiseStamp server-side solution provides a secure and efficient way to manage email signatures without compromising the email system's security. WiseStamp does not store any email content on its servers, nor does it read or semantically understand the message content (text or attachments). Furthermore, WiseStamp processes email requests per account (tenant) and applies complete isolation for each account.
Hybrid mode
WiseStamp Hybrid mode is a combination of client-side and server-side solutions, enabling your organization to use the advantages of both solutions. The hybrid mode can be useful, for example, when you are already using a client-side signature but want to have the server-side solution for mobile coverage.
The Hybrid solution is based on WiseStamp's ability to recognize its automatic signatures and not deploy another signature. In Hybrid mode, the server-side host embeds a signature only when a client-side WiseStamp signature is not detected. This approach ensures that the organization's emails are delivered without any issues, and the security of the email system is not compromised in any way.
Hybrid mode is available for automatic installations, such as the Outlook add-in, Desktop app, Google Workspace integration, and more.
Deploy signatures to a single email account
WiseStamp enables a quick and easy deployment of an email signature to single account users using our quick connectors.

Deploy signatures to company emails
After you have designed signatures, created Groups, and assigned each Group with a signature, you are ready to add the signatures to your employee inboxes. There are two main ways to do this:
- Centrally deploy signatures for your employees, using tools that we provide for Outlook and Google Workspace users.
- Send your employees an invite email containing instructions about how to add the signature to their email platforms.
Please keep these important points in mind as you get started:
- Employees cannot log into WiseStamp and they have no access to your WiseStamp admin account. The only way they can activate their signatures is for you (as an account administrator) to either send them an invite or perform signature deployment for them.
- Employees must have a status of Active to use the WiseStamp signature. Each active employee occupies one seat on your account.
Central signature deployment options
WiseStamp offers a number of solutions for bulk deployment of the Teams Signature to employee emails. Here is a summary, according to the email platform:
Outlook
If you work with Office 365, we recommend centralized deployment of the WiseStamp Outlook add-in, which automatically adds the Teams Signature to the emails of all Active employees. The add-in is compatible with Windows and Mac and supports Outlook Desktop and Outlook Web. Furthermore, the add-in can be used in both standard and GoDaddy-integrated domains. For more information and deployment instructions, see Outlook Add-In Installation and FAQ.
If you are unable to use the add-in for any reason (e.g., you don't have a compatible O365 license), you can install the WiseStamp app for desktop on employee machines to automatically feed the WiseStamp signature to Outlook. The app is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers and can be deployed via MDM or GPO installation - for more information, see Installing the WiseStamp Desktop App for Teams Accounts.
Google Workspace
If your WiseStamp account is integrated with Google Workspace, you can use the Auto-Inject/Auto-Deploy feature to automatically push signatures to your employee email platforms. The Auto-Inject setting is easily enabled/disabled directly from the Employees page of your account.
For more details about Auto Inject and how to use it, see Understanding Auto Deployment.
Other email platforms
WiseStamp signatures can be added to many other email platforms, including Mac Mail, iPhone, personal Gmail accounts, and more. This is done using either of the following methods:
- Send employees invite emails, as explained in the section below.
- Send employees an export link for the relevant email platform (available on WiseStamp Legacy only).
Send invite emails
The Invite function, which is available on the Employees page of your account, sends employees invite emails with instructions on how to deploy their signatures. Note, that the invite email also automatically activates the employees on the WiseStamp dashboard. You can invite individual employees one by one, or select multiple employees and invite them all simultaneously.
!note! WiseStamp has implemented a Trust Policy to enhance security and control. To send invite emails you must first verify your email address from the Profile page. If you encounter any issues sending Invite emails, please contact the WiseStamp support team for assistance. !/note!
WiseStamp's invite emails enable your employees to add their Team Signature to various email platforms independently, by following instructions contained in the email. The invite email also allows employees to review and edit their personal details before activating their signatures.
Also in the invite, you can also give your employees access to the My Personal Signature page, so your employees have the opportunity to review the details in the signature and edit them before you deploy the signatures into their emails.
